Business Description
Mark McCartney founded Arctic Refrigeration in 1994. Mark left Tulsa with a service truck and 16 years of managerial and technical experience. Working from his home, he began driving up and down major roads in Springfield, knocking on doors and offering coupons to new customers until someone needed repair work. Ever since, Arctic Refrigeration has been dedicated to providing fast, reliable service and operating with integrity. With Mark having over 40 years in the industry, we've grown to serve the greater Springfield area with over 20 technicians.
In 2000, we expanded to include sales of new and used commercial food equipment, becoming Arctic Food Equipment! Sales rapidly grew, and in 2003, we moved to our current location with a 10,000 sq ft showroom and industry-experienced sales team.
Mark’s son, Nathan, officially joined the team in 2018, bringing his 11 years of Air Force leadership experience and an MBA from Ole Miss. Recently elected to the NAFED Board in 2026, he continues to help lead the company forward. Today, we continue the family tradition of excellent service and customer-focused business.
