About CONES

CONES Solutions, Inc. is a commercial food equipment sales and service facility. Corporate headquarters are located in Moline, Illinois with strategically located branch offices in central Illinois and eastern Iowa to provide superior service in the eastern half of Iowa, western and central Illinois. The services provided by CONES include installation, in and out of warranty service and parts distribution for a variety of hot and cold food equipment manufacturers. In addition, CONES sells and services a complete line of commercial refrigeration and beverage equipment including ice machines and dispensers along with new booster heaters, garbage disposers, and refurbished used equipment.

Our History

In 1966, Bill Cone founded the company that would bear his name after spending 20 years with the local utility company where he received extensive training in technical and management skills. Incorporated as Cone Repair Service in 1968, it has grown from a one-man service truck into a corporation with four locations serving eastern Iowa, western, and central Illinois. In 1997, Bill retired and sold the business to his son Dan, who joined the firm in 1975 right out of technical school to help with the growing business. In 2004, Cone became one of the first service agencies recognized by CFESA, the national trade association for commercial food equipment service, meeting industry requirements and becoming a Certified Company. In 2005, Dan changed the company name to the Dan Cone Group to reflect the quality team of professionals that has been assembled over the years. Fast forward 17 years to 2022 when Dan’s son, Travis Cone, and son-in-law, Jason Gavin purchased the company. In 2023 the company name was officially changed to CONES Solutions, Inc. to represent a new strategy of growth and ever-evolving market.

CONES Solutions is a CFESA Certified Company

The CFESA Company Certification program is designed to raise the bar of quality in the foodservice industry and to distinguish the companies that provide superior service. The certification has five requirements: financial, education and training, industry participation, industry relations, and professionalism. These requirements were carefully created to enable high-quality companies of any size to achieve CFESA Certified Company status. CFESA requires each company to recertify after three years of the original certification date.
